I am Ashley (she/her), an aspiring educator/teaching-in-training and lover of all things art. When I say art what I mean is anything one does or creates with the intention of communicating something or to look a certain way.
It is vague on purpose!
For a long time I have connected with the idea of myself as an artistic person. I felt this way until I started creating anything at all because the art that I made, and the art that I make today doesn’t look like the art that inspires me. I have the habit of comparing myself to others in this way. But, the art I create isn’t like theirs for a reason, it isn’t like theirs because it is my art. It is my art after a very very long time of not creating. I am going to try and let loose, write more, bring out the paint, get a little messy, and be happy with where my creativity journey is now, and look forward to where it could take me!
I am going to try and be kind to myself in the process.

I am going to make some art.
