Kindness & Creativity

Good as Gold

After a break, I decided to get back into visual journalling. I use visual journalling as a way to explore inner worlds of imagination and awareness through mark making and written word. Mark making can be incredibly meditative. Journalling prompts me to think about why different pictures and words make me feel different ways. I love the way teacher and fellow art journal creative Sara Shields describes their process. Check out their youtube channel for inspiration @Sara Scott Shields

I have been really drawn to gold lately. In art gold is often associated with illumination, compassion, courage, passion, prosperity, wealth, love and wisdom. Interpret however you please.
